•Global logistics conditions continue to improve due to declining transportation costs and steady supply growth, indicating that logistics is basically no longer a major economic problem.

• The Global Supply Chain Stress Index (GSCPI) released by the New York Federal Reserve (NYFed) showed that in October 2023, the indicator dropped to -1.74%, the lowest level since 1997 and the ninth consecutive month in the negative range.

• In comparison, during the global outbreak of the new coronavirus, the indicator was as high as 3.10%. The index brings together 27 variables that reflect everything from cross-border transportation costs to data on manufacturing activity in various countries and regions.

 

The global logistics situation continues to improve due to falling transportation costs and steady supply growth, indicating that logistics is basically no longer a major problem for the economy.

Global supply chain conditions continue to improve as supply constraints and transportation costs ease
